Hi beauties, today I am reviewing this gorgeous highlighter by Wet n Wild called ‘Megaglo Highlighting Powder’ in the colour Precious Petals. They launched these limited edition megaglo highlighters in two shades – ‘Crown of my Canopy’ and ‘Precious Petals’, however I only managed to get the one colour due to these highlighters being sold out. I was actually quite lucky though, as there was no stock on the shelves at Clicks but I asked the cosmetics assistant to please check in her drawers and she found 2 Precious Petals highlighters left…..I was overjoyed to get at least 1 of these beautiful megaglo highlighters. This amazing highlighter has been one of my most used highlighters currently and I am totally in love with this.
I purchased this a few weeks back so I am not sure if they still have stock at some Click stores but you can phone and check with them. With all the buzz going around about this product I decided to research and found mostly good reviews howver, there were some people who said that this highlighter was not for their skin as they had light, pale skin. I have a medium to fair skin tone and this works well on my complexion. Precious Petals is a soft and pigmented highlighter that has a gorgeous shimmer – not glitter and doesn’t have any fall out as it is creamy textured. If you want that glow that doesn’t emphasise on your imperfections then this highlighter is for you, as it just blends so well into the skin with such a beautiful sheen to it. So let me just say that I am not a fan of too much glitter on my face, so I was a bit skeptical at first to purchase this product but when I saw swatches of this highlighter, I knew it was going to be the new ‘go to’ highlighter for me.
I have tried so many angles to get the best picture for this post but none does justice to this incredible highlighter, however I have added a picture below so you can see a different angle of this product which I took from the Wet n Wild website.
Wet n Wild megaglo highlighter – Precious Petals is sort of a light champagne colour and I have to say that drug store brands are really impressing us with some amazing limited editions that are reasonably priced. The packaging of this highlighter is quite basic on the outer but the inside is breathtaking – it has a beautiful imprint on the highlighter itself, which you can see above – we have seen a few products coming out in recent times with some beautiful imprints on the products themselves. It was so reasonably priced at just R84,95 for such a beautiful highlighter, that I can kick myself for not purchasing 2 of it – a girl can never have too many highlighters…what do you say?
I have swatched the highlighter for you with no editing so you can see the colour properly and you can also see that this product is so creamy and elegant….Wow! Hope you enjoyed this post and can’t wait to hear from you on what you think about this highlighter. Please do leave a comment and if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask – I will be more than happy to help you. What are your favourite highlighters you love to use…please let me know. Thank you for reading and hope you have a wonderful and restful Easter weekend with your loved ones.
