Review on my Pamper day with L’Occitane en Provence

Two weeks ago I was invited by L’Occitane en Provence, in Pavilion, for an in-store event that they were hosting for their VIP customers. I was thrilled to attend this event as I am a big fan of L’Occitane products and I have quite a few products on my wish list from them. The team at Pavilion store really know how to treat their customers to a day filled with relaxation, promotions and most importantly – great customer service. From the moment you walk in to the store, you are welcomed by a team of staff who are friendly and helpful – they make it their priority to ensure that all their customers are happy and that their requirements are met timeously.

THE BRAND AND THEIR HISTORY

L’Occitane is a French brand and all their products come from Provence, the South Of France, made from the highest quality natural ingredients. They specialize in Face Care, Fragrances, Body care, home and hair care. The company was founded in 1976 by Mr Oliver Baussan who drew inspiration from plants and Nature. He wanted to bring the traditions and lifestyle of provence and the Mediterranean to places all over the world.

“The name L’OCCITANE comes from the old language of Oc and means “The woman from Occitania”. Mr Baussan was inspired by these woman who played leading roles  and the powers of plants, herbs and the natural environment were used to heal naturally. Mr Oliver Baussan cares about humanity and has developed a sustainable relationship with the woman from Burkina Faso, a place that we get our Shea butter from. We are also one of the very few brands that offer Braille on our packaging. Our products are sensorial and a delight to your senses. Every product, every scent tells a True story…..”

MY EXPERIENCE AND INFORMATION PROVIDED BY L’OCCITANE

The manager of Pavilion store – Shabana

Friendly staff giving me a tour of the store and product information

I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Shabana and her staff who showed me around the store and gave me information on different products that they stock. If you have been to a L’Occitane store, then you will know just how organised their set up is and how each product is beautifully packaged. After my informative tour of the store, it was time to get pampered – you can only imagine my excitement! Shabana began with a treatment for my hands which they call the hand ritual.

My Experience

This hand ritual was one of the most incredible hand treatments that I have ever done – seriously one of the best. When the scrub was done on one hand, I could actually see a difference compared to my other hand. My one hand was lighter than the other and I was so amazed that I couldn’t stop raving about it to the customers who came in to the store and my loved ones. The Shea hand cream left my hands soft, moisturised and officially my favourite hand cream to use. This hand treatment with the products used above are guaranteed to give your hands a make-over and rejuvenate them, especially if you have dry skin.

My Experience
If you want to be relaxed or experience restlessness in falling asleep, then I highly recommend the products above, especially the relaxing pillow mist. After this treatment I was so relaxed that I could have fallen asleep in the store. I have been experiencing insomnia lately and this helped me in having a good night sleep as well. The massage was performed by Shabana and I must compliment her for her expertise in the field as she was incredible with the treatments.
I had such a fabulous pamper day with these amazing women at L’Occitane Pavilion and I cannot begin to express my gratitude to them for inviting me to be part of this wonderful day.
Whilst I was having my treatments done I had a very interesting conversation with a gentleman who is a loyal customer at L’Occitane and he brought his son in to purchase a skincare range from them. He was such a fun and warm hearted person and in the middle of a conversation we were having, Shabana asked me to guess his age – so I said he looks like he is in his 40’s….Guess what? He told me that he is 61 years old and I was in such shock that I stuttered trying to find the words to come out as I kept staring at his flawless skin –  he looked so young. I asked him how he managed to maintain such healthy skin as he didn’t have wrinkles – he had clear, firm skin with a glow. Can you imagine seeing a man of that age with beautiful flawless skin – well now I can. He explained to me that he has been using the L’Occitane Divine range for a long time and that in his experience, it is the best skincare for anti-aging. I enquired about this range from the staff and they informed me that the Divine range of products are one of the best sellers in the world by L’Occitane en Provence. Whilst the products are a bit pricey, they definitely worth it if you want firm and flawless skin as you age. I have tried some samples of this product and it just absorbs into your skin, leaving it smooth and so moisturized. Here is a little information on this range from L’Occitane…
