Best of Hair, Body and Feet 2016

Firstly, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year and I hope that you had a wonderful festive season and a relaxing vacation. What’s most important of all is that we get to spend quality time with our loved ones. I am sure everyone is just like me and finding it a bit difficult to get out of vacation mode. I went down to Uvongo for a few days and it was amazing. I am hoping that this year I am able to achieve my goals and bring you lots of product information and honest reviews.

As you know, South Africa has been seeing lots of fantastic brands coming into our country and making it easier for us to buy them. I will do another post featuring some of these brands and their products later on this month.

Getting back to this post for the best of hair, body and feet 2016, let me just say that the products I am reviewing may not be new to you but they are my favourite and they worked brilliantly for me in 2016.

Matrix Total Results – So Long Damage Shampoo & Conditioner

Starting off with hair I used the Matrix Total Results – So long damage shampoo and conditioner, which I received in my Retail Secret Box #28. This product has ceramide in it which helps in making your hair strong and reduces breakage as well. I also received the Tangle Angel baby keyring which is really cute and compact to take with you in your handbag. I was a bit disappointed with the value of this retail box as I thought I would get higher value items, however the price for the products was worth it.

L’Oreal Elvive – Keratin Straight 72H

I used these products towards the end of 2016 and I loved them so much that I made some of my close family go and purchase them. L’Oreal Paris is a well known brand, loved by many and they really keep up to their high quality standards with really low prices. This product  contains Black cumin oil and Micro keratin which keeps your hair a smooth and frizz free. I bought this range at Clicks and it as you can see above I did buy the oil replacement treatment as well and I apply it to my hair whilst it’s wet. When I straighten my hair it is so beautiful and shiny and even after two days my hair is still straight and neat. I really suggest you try this product if your hair is frizzy or unmanageable.

TRESemme Heat Defence

I know you probably thinking that this product is a bit old but it is still my favourite. TRESemme is another favourite brand for me as I love their products. I usually spray this heat defence on before styling as it protects your hair from the heat. It works like a charm for me.

John Frieda – Brilliant brunette (Visibly brighter)

I was sent this product by Rubybox last year to review and I really liked the way it made my brunette hair brighter. What is nice about this product is that it is so quick and easy to use as it is an in-shower lightening treatment that works in just 1 wash.

LUX – Sheer Twilight Body Wash

Lux has always been another favourite of mine since I was young. This body wash has the most incredible smell that when you leave the bathroom, after a shower, the entire bathroom still has the fragrance. Not forgetting, it leaves your skin luxuriously soft.

Sorbet – Sensual polish up salt scrub

Who doesn’t love Sorbet products? Seriously, they make such amazing products that is is really difficult to go in and just but 1. My favourite for 2016 has to be this polish up salt scrub because it leaves your body feeling silky and smooth with an amazing smell. Such a good exfoliation for your body with this scrub.

Johnson’s Body Lotion – Vita Rich

Another world famous brand who always delivers quality products every time. I have to say that Johnson’s have really outdone themselves with this incredible body lotion. My favourite in the picture above is the one with papaya extract and it smells heavenly and also leaves my skin so moisturised. You should go out and buy at least 1 of these body lotions as they are well worth the price.

Skin Republic – Foot Peel

The one thing I really hate is my feet getting dry, hard or cracked so that is why I have used this foot peel for many years and it is still my favourite of all time. This product does exactly what it says and that is remove dead skin. You will find your feet peeling from the 7th day and it feels as if you have new feet. I find this product very cheap compare to milky foot and you can get it from Edgars, Red Square or Dischem stores. They retail for about R120 which is definitely worth the price.

Neutrogena Hand Cream

Whilst this is a hand cream, I use it for my feet because it is like a gel that is so nourishing. It does say on the packaging that it can be used for hands or you can dab it on heals for dry skin. I don’t really like the feel of it on my hands as it makes me sweaty.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will be writing more often this year so keep reading.
